Privacy Policy

EC Peer — last updated April 9, 2026

1. Who We Are

EC Peer is a private collaborative platform built for Emergent Coding teams. It provides project management, component tracking, team coordination, AI-assisted design tools, and AI credit management for registered members. The platform includes an optional Telegram bot (@ECPeer_bot) that delivers in-app notifications to users who choose to connect their Telegram account.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the platform:

  • Account data — your display name and any profile details you provide on registration.
  • Telegram ID — if you choose to link your Telegram account, we store your Telegram user ID solely to deliver notifications from the bot.
  • Usage data — actions you take within the platform (projects created, tasks updated, comments posted) are recorded in an activity log to support the collaboration features.
  • Content you create — project descriptions, task notes, component datasheets, and comments that you enter into the platform.
  • AI credit balance and transactions — when you purchase AI credits or use AI features, we record the transaction amount, Stripe session ID (for idempotency), token usage counts, and a short description. No card numbers or full payment details are stored by EC Peer.

We do not collect precise location data or any sensitive personal data beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Information
  • To provide, operate, and maintain the EC Peer platform and its features.
  • To send you Telegram notifications about events relevant to your projects and teams — only if you have linked your Telegram account and only for events you are a participant in.
  • To display activity feeds and collaboration history within the platform.
  • To identify you to your teammates within the platform context.
  • To maintain your AI credit balance and process top-up payments via Stripe.
  • To send your inputs to the Claude AI API (Anthropic) when you use AI-assisted features such as component suggestions, design assistance, or datasheet generation.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the platform.

4. Telegram Integration

The @ECPeer_bot Telegram bot is used exclusively to deliver notifications initiated by platform events (such as a new team invitation, a project update, or a new comment). The bot does not read your Telegram messages, does not store chat history, and does not initiate contact beyond the notifications you would expect from your platform activity.

Linking your Telegram account is entirely optional. You may remove your Telegram ID from your profile at any time, which will stop all bot notifications.

5. Payments — Stripe

AI credit top-ups are processed by Stripe (Stripe, Inc.). When you initiate a payment you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted checkout page. EC Peer never sees or stores your card number, CVV, or billing address — this information is entered directly on Stripe's servers and is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

EC Peer receives only a confirmation of payment from Stripe, along with the session ID and the amount paid. These are stored solely to credit your account and prevent duplicate processing. Stripe may set its own cookies on their hosted checkout page; these are outside EC Peer's control.

6. AI Features — Claude (Anthropic)

AI-assisted features (component suggestions, design tool assistance, datasheet generation, and similar) are powered by the Claude API operated by Anthropic, PBC. When you use these features, the text you submit (such as a component description or design context) is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate a response.

EC Peer does not send your name, account ID, or any directly identifying information to Anthropic as part of these requests. However, any content you include in your prompt may be processed by Anthropic in accordance with their Privacy Policy and API usage terms. Avoid including sensitive personal data in AI prompts.

Token usage counts (how many tokens were consumed per request) are stored locally to calculate the cost deducted from your credit balance. No prompt content is stored by EC Peer.

7. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

The external services your data may touch are limited to:

  • Telegram Bot API (Telegram Messenger Inc.) — only if you have linked your Telegram account. Outbound notification messages only. See Telegram's Privacy Policy.
  • Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) — payment processing for AI credit top-ups. EC Peer does not share personal data with Stripe beyond what Stripe itself collects during the checkout session. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Anthropic Claude API (Anthropic, PBC) — the text content of AI feature requests. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
8. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. Activity logs are retained to support collaboration history. If you wish to have your account and associated data removed, please contact the platform administrator.

9. Data Security

Access to the platform is restricted to registered and authenticated users. All data is stored on private infrastructure. We take reasonable technical precautions to protect the data we hold, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all platform communication.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings.
  • Disconnect your Telegram account at any time from your profile.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data.
11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Cookies

EC Peer uses only strictly necessary cookies required to operate. No consent is required for strictly necessary cookies under applicable law, but we disclose them here for full transparency.

  • Session cookie (ECPEER) — maintains your authenticated session after sign-in. Expires when your browser session ends or after 24 hours of inactivity.
  • CSRF token (csrfToken) — a security token that protects form submissions from cross-site request forgery attacks. Set automatically on every page load and rotated per session.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The following third-party cookies may be set as a side-effect of features we use:

  • Telegram Login Widget (telegram.org / oauth.telegram.org / t.me) — the sign-in page loads the Telegram Login Widget script from telegram.org. This widget renders a button using a Telegram-hosted frame. When you click the button, a popup window opens on oauth.telegram.org to handle the authorisation flow. Telegram may set cookies on the telegram.org, oauth.telegram.org, and t.me domains as part of this process. These cookies are used by Telegram to identify your existing Telegram session and to authenticate you. EC Peer does not read, write, or control any of these cookies. After authorisation, Telegram securely passes your identity to EC Peer. See Telegram's Privacy Policy for details.

Google Fonts — This site loads font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. These are CDN requests (not cookies), but Google may log your IP address as part of serving the font files. No personal data is shared with Google for advertising purposes. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, please contact the platform administrator through the EC Peer platform.
